While most of the Balkans will remain sunny and hot tomorrow, the northwestern parts of the peninsula will already experience rainfall, thunderstorms, and a significant drop in temperatures. Similar cool, unseasonable conditions with precipitation will cover vast areas of Central and Eastern Europe. Intense storms and rain are forecast for the Apennine Peninsula and the British Isles, while sunny weather will prevail in Western European countries tomorrow.
Currently, our country is enjoying high temperatures between 27° and 35°, reaching around 32° in Sofia, while along the coast they range from 26° to 28°. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, with a light to moderate wind and afternoon showers mainly in the mountainous regions of Western Bulgaria. The mountains will also be mostly sunny, but after midday, showers and thunderstorms will develop in some western ranges. Temperatures in the resorts will range from 22° in Aleko to 27° in Borovets, while in Bansko and Smolyan, they will be around 28°.
Along the Black Sea coast tomorrow, the weather will be mostly sunny, with possible low clouds in the morning. A moderate easterly wind is blowing; the sea state is 3 on the Douglas scale with wave heights of about half a meter, and the water temperature is 24°-25°. On Friday, it will be sunny and hot across almost the entire country, except for the coast, and areas at extreme risk of wildfires will increase once again.
Saturday marks the beginning of a transition, with thunderstorms and rain expected in the western half of the country, accompanied by dropping temperatures, while it will remain hot and sunny in the east. At the end of the week and the beginning of the new one, on Sunday and Monday, a significant weather system with rainfall will cover the entire country. A noticeable cooling is ahead, with the likelihood of thunderstorms and substantial precipitation in many places, which will cause maximum temperatures to drop to values between 20° and 25°.
