Burgas Free University will host and serve as a strategic partner for the Lider.BG Regional Business Conference, taking place on September 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The forum is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Burgas Municipality, Dimitar Nikolov. The event is part of the national "Lider.BG Regional Business Conferences" initiative, which has already visited Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, and Ruse in 2026.
The initiative brings together representatives from leading Bulgarian and international companies, investors, institutions, and the academic community. The program focuses on economic security, regional development opportunities, and digital transformation. Discussions are divided into three main tracks: investment and growth, the digital future, and sustainability in a changing global environment.
The conference will be opened by Mayor Dimitar Nikolov. Welcoming remarks will be delivered by the Deputy Minister of Economy, Investment, and Industry, Krasimir Yakimov; the Rector of Burgas Free University, Prof. Dr. Milen Baltov; the Executive Director of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce, Iliyana Ilieva; and Bilyana Georgieva, Executive Director of Lider.BG and member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce.
