The Sam Postigam ("I Achieve It Myself") Foundation is holding a free meeting in Burgas for young people aged 14–24 who have one living parent or no parents. It takes place on Friday, 23 October, at 5:30pm.

The meeting will cover all the help available from the state and from private sources in Bulgaria. Organisers will explain the deadlines and which documents people need, and will answer questions from those who attend.

Adults who support young people are also welcome. They include widowed parents of children and young people, guardians, trustees, foster parents, teachers and school counsellors. Representatives of school and student councils are invited too, as are managers and social workers from family-type residential centres and other social services.

The meeting is in Hall 1 of the Youth Cultural Centre – Burgas, at 39 Gladstone Street. The centre, which is part of the OP MMKTs, is providing the hall free of charge.

The event is part of the foundation's project "Informed for Success", funded by the TELUS Digital Public Board Foundation in Bulgaria. Besides 10 information meetings, the project includes the first guide in Bulgaria to the rights and options of children and young people up to 24 years old who have one living parent or no parents.

People who want to attend should first fill in an anonymous form at https://forms.gle/cL6rUYyYMfy9zTMGA. All the information about the support is collected at https://sampostigam.org/.
