"Bulgargaz" Offers Lower Natural Gas Price for January

"Bulgargaz" offers a natural gas price for January of 60.91 BGN/MWh, which is lower than the December price. This is significantly lower compared to prices from previous years.

"Bulgargaz" offers a natural gas price for January of 60.91 leva (31.16 euros) per megawatt-hour (MWh), excluding access prices, transmission, excise duty, and VAT. The application has been submitted to the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (EWRC).

The regulator approved a natural gas price for December in the amount of 63.01 BGN/MWh. The price for January is 3.33% lower than December's.

The proposal includes components for the price of natural gas, the "public supply" activity, and compensation for storage costs in the "Chiren" gas storage facility.

It is recalled that the price in December was 4.3% lower compared to November.

The proposed price for January 2026 is 25.67% lower than that approved for January 2025, and 22.4% lower compared to January 2024.
