GERB leader Boyko Borissov will participate in the discussion "The Next 20: A Vision for the Future," where he will share his views alongside Tomislav Donchev, Deputy Prime Minister for European Funds in the "Borissov" and "Zhelyazkov" cabinets; Dimitar Nikolov, Mayor of Burgas; Zhecho Stankov, Minister of Energy in the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet and Member of Parliament; and technology entrepreneur and investor Dobroslav Dimitrov. The meeting will be opened and moderated by Yordanka Fandakova, Chair of the Association "Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria."

The event will take place on September 19 at the Congress Center, bringing together representatives from business, the technology sector, civil society, and national and local institutions. The forum focuses on the processes that will shape Bulgaria's future over the next two decades. Key topics will include innovation, artificial intelligence, education, high value-added economy, and competitiveness, as well as energy and climate resilience and the role of local government.

The initiative is organized by the Association "Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria." The forum is part of a series of discussions regarding the country's long-term priorities, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the association itself. The project is implemented with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. All key ideas and proposals generated during the discussion will be summarized and formalized in the official document "The Next 20 – A Vision for the Development of Bulgaria."

During the conference, the national photo contest "My 20" will be announced, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Bulgaria's membership in the European Union. With the support of GERB/EPP MEP Eva Maydel, ten of the most distinguished stories will be featured in a special exhibition in Brussels.
