Political leader Boyko Borissov categorically rejected speculations about a potential presidential candidacy, emphasizing that this issue has been long-standing. "I have repeatedly stated my position, and my actions confirm it," he was categorical during an inspection visit to the Dyulinski Pass construction.

Accompanied by the Parliamentary Chairman of the Regional Policy Committee Nikolay Nankov and Minister of Regional Development Ivan Ivanov, Borissov made a thorough review of the current political situation. He highlighted the significance of what was achieved by the National Assembly before the summer vacation, especially emphasizing Bulgaria's full membership in the European Union.

At the same time, the politician sharply criticized inter-party relations, describing them as unprecedented conflict-ridden. "In my political career, I have not seen such division," he commented. Borissov emphasized the existence of the so-called "sanitary cordon" around the "Continue the Change" formation, highlighting its isolation among other political forces.

His comments were particularly sharp regarding the events in Varna and the activities of the Anti-Corruption Commission (KPKONPI). "Closure is the minimum sanction that this institution deserves," Borissov was categorical. He described the protests in support of the Varna mayor as "purely partisan" and hinted at internal political intrigues.

The GERB leader warned of potential financial losses related to the selection of new members of KPKONPI. According to him, linking this process with the Recovery and Sustainability Plan could lead to the suspension of European payments, which poses additional challenges for the government.
