GERB leader Boyko Borisov stated that Bulgaria "caught up with the best in the world" with the adopted legislative changes for corporate income taxation. He emphasized that the changes create conditions for a more modern and innovative industry and economy, providing significant tax breaks for companies that develop research and development activities and implement innovations. Borisov noted that the measure is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan and is necessary for receiving European funding. He added that the country has a strong IT sector, which can develop even more successfully under such conditions.

Borisov also commented on the program for the renovation of residential buildings, which he defined as "the best social policy." He pointed out that 770 residential blocks are being renovated this year, which leads to more beautiful cities, more energy-efficient buildings, reduced electricity bills, and an increase in the value of the homes. Borisov added that the renovation extends the life of the buildings and emphasized the importance of control by the owners.
