Bulgarian U16 Basketball Players Lost to Iceland at Euro 2025 – The Battle Continues
Difficult Match, Worthy Resistance
In their first clash from the 9th to 16th place distribution phase of the European Championship (Division "B") in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia, the Bulgaria U16 team led by Milen Dudev lost to Iceland with 72:89. This is the third loss for our boys, who already have two victories in the tournament.

- Bulgarians started strongly and led by 7 points, but Iceland turned it around to 19:18 already in the first quarter.
- Second period – 22:22 draw, but the opponent accumulated an advantage and led 43:36 at halftime.
- After the break, the Icelanders increased their lead until the end, despite accurate attacks by Marchev, Kolev, and Valentinov.
