Bulgarian gymnasts with an ambitious mission at the World Championship in Rio de Janeiro

The national rhythmic gymnastics team is heading to Brazil with leading athletes and an expert team for a prestigious international competition.

The Bulgarian national rhythmic gymnastics delegation confirmed its participation in the World Championship, which will take place from August 20 to 24 in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. The team includes exceptional individual athletes and an ensemble with an impressive lineup.

In the individual competition, the country will be represented by the talented Stiliana Nikolova and Eva Brezalieva. The women's ensemble will consist of five highly trained gymnasts: Sofia Ivanova, Rachel Stoyanov, Alina Kolomiets, Danaya Atanasova, and Emilia Obretenova.

Before the official competition, the team will hold a one-week preparatory camp in the Brazilian city of Aracaju. The accompanying expert team includes coaches, choreographers, ballet teachers, psychologists, and physiotherapists - among them Branimira Markova, Valentina Ivanova, Prof. Tatyana Yancheva, and other specialists.

The official judge who will represent Bulgaria at the championship is Filipa Filipova. The information was communicated by the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation through their official communication channels.
