The Bulgarian national wrestling delegation is ready for a major challenge at the World Championship for cadets and juniors, which will be held in the Greek capital Athens. The official start of the prestigious competition is scheduled for Monday, July 28, at 10:30 in the morning.

The championship will pass through several consecutive stages – initially with classical style, then continuing with cadet competitions, and the final three days are reserved for wave-style competitions. Bulgarian referee Dimitar Chifudov will be among the official leaders of the world championship.

In the classical style, the national team will rely on young talents under the guidance of the coaching staff, including Biser Georgiev, Svetoslav Milenkov, and Stefan Toshev. The team covers all categories – from 45 to 110 kilograms, with key competitors being Danimir Jordanov, Stanislav Ivanov, Kaloyan Borisov, Antoan Tsvetanov, Zhivko Hinkov, and Kristian Petkov.

In the wave-style, coaches Marian Nedkov and Georgi Vangelov will rely on another set of young wrestlers. Among the leading names are Stanimir Slavov, Grozdan Petkov, Georgi Spasov, and Kaloyan Staev, who will compete in different weight categories.

In the cadet category, the women's team will be represented by Dayana Stoycheva, Vasilena Ilieva, Stefani Lazarova, and Andrea Niseva. They will compete in categories between 46 and 61 kilograms, led by coaches Dayana Stoycheva and Miroslav Kirov.
