National volleyball referees from Bulgaria achieved remarkable successes during the recent Balkan Championships, managing extremely important matches in various age groups. According to the official rules of the Balkan Volleyball Association, each participating country has the right to nominate its representative for the respective tournament.
In the men's championship under 19 years old, Tsvetomir Tsvetanov from Montana received the exceptional honor of being the main referee for the final match between the teams of Serbia and Turkey. His performance was evaluated extremely highly by the organizers and participants.
In the women's championship under 19 years old, Nikolay Petrov was entrusted with the responsibility of managing the bronze medal match. Due to the fact that the Bulgarian national team participated in the final phase, Petrov was given the opportunity to referee the third-place match between the national teams of Serbia and Romania.
Elitsa Ivanova took on the responsibility of being the first referee in the extremely important match between the teams of Montenegro and Turkey in the championship for girls under 16 years old. This match was of exceptional importance as it determined the position for second place in the tournament.
Timur Abibula complemented the performance of Bulgarian referees by managing three matches in the women's championship under 21 years old, which concluded a week earlier.
