Coach Vesselka Todorova from the basketball school of Rilski Sportist achieved significant professional recognition by successfully completing the elite two-year educational program of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

During an official ceremony, she received a personal certificate from the highest-ranking leaders of FIBA Europe - Executive Director Kamil Novak and President Jorge Garbajosa. The event was further honored by the presence of the famous coach Pablo Laso, who recently coached the Baskonia team.

The training program covers an extremely wide range of professional modules, including: in-depth theory of basketball coaching, individual technical and tactical approaches, strategic player development planning, coaching philosophy, psychological aspects, nutrition, and physical preparation.

The educational process included intensive practical components - match observation, participation in discussion groups and specialized seminars. The entire course was conducted under the methodological guidance of an exceptional expert team, composed of basketball legends such as Svetislav Pesic, Andrea Trinchieri, Pedro Martinez, and other internationally recognized specialists.

Vesselka Todorova's achievement is particularly remarkable as she is only the second woman in Bulgaria to possess this prestigious certificate. Before her, established Bulgarian coaches such as Lyubomir Minchev, Hristo Tsenov, Tedi Bukov, and Silvia Peeva have received similar recognition.
