Bulgarian tennis players triumph at the "K&D Cup 2025" in Sofia

National tennis talents Viktor Markov and Plamen Milushev recorded an impressive victory at the "K&D Cup 2025" tournament, taking place in Sofia. The duo secured a place in the semifinals after a dramatic quarter-final match against their compatriots David Simeonov and Nikola Keremedchiev.

In an extremely competitive match, the Bulgarian athletes prevailed with a score of 6:7(5), 6:4, 10:8, demonstrating remarkable psychological resilience. Their next challenge will be the duo composed of Enrique Bogo (Brazil) and Dmitry Kopilevich (Slovenia).

In another match of the tournament, the top-seeded Italian representatives Jacopo Billardo and Nicolo Cavarella eliminated the Russian duo Alexander Vasilev and Vardan Manukyan with a decisive score of 4:6, 6:7(6).

The team of Mikhail Ivanov and Erik Vladimrov also left the competition, losing to the French duo Alexander Aubrio and Valentin Lapalyu with a score of 2:6, 5:7. The same French players had earlier eliminated another Bulgarian duo - Radoslav and Vasil Shandarov, with a convincing 6:1, 6:4.

In the singles competition, Alexander Vasilev and Anas Mazdrashki successfully qualified for the quarter-finals. Vasilev is set to face the second-seeded Shawn Kennen from France, while Mazdrashki will play against the eighth-seeded Nikita Mashchakov from Ukraine.
