A young Bulgarian tennis player Dian Nedev impressed with a decisive victory at an international tournament in Kursumlijska Banja, Serbia. In a match with a prize fund of $15,000, he demonstrated exceptional technical preparation, eliminating the Greek athlete Demetris Azoidis.

The match lasted nearly two hours, with Nedev convincingly winning the first set 6:1, immediately taking the initiative and leading 4:0. In the second set, he temporarily lost his 4:1 advantage but managed to make a decisive break in the last tenth game, consolidating his final advantage 6:4.

Parallel to this success, another Bulgarian representative Dinko Dinev failed to advance in the tournament. The 7th-seeded Iranian tennis player Ali Yazdani eliminated him after a contested match with a score of 6:1, 4:6, 2:6, which lasted almost two hours.

Regardless of individual results, both Bulgarian athletes will participate in the doubles competition. They are set to face the leading duo composed of Vladan Tadić from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pavel Verbin from Russia.

An interesting fact is that before this tournament, Nedev and Dinev were already finalists in a similar competition in the same city in mid-May, organized by the International Tennis Federation ITF.
