A young Bulgarian footballer Zhoakim Amidzhikori was officially signed by the Armenian sports club FC Syunik, which was confirmed by representatives of the third-division Bulgarian team Chernomorets from Balchik.
Syunik, which demonstrated exceptional potential in the national championship, finished second in the Second League in 2024/25. Despite earning the right to promotion, the club showed caution and postponed its elite participation due to infrastructure limitations of the home stadium in the city of Kapan.
The management of the Armenian team has a clear strategic goal - to achieve official qualification for the Premier League in 2026, relying on new quality additions like Amidzhikori.
The new addition distinguished himself in the past season with an impressive performance for Chernomorets Balchik, being a key player in reaching the final of the Amateur Football League Cup tournament. In the decisive match, the young footballer demonstrated scoring ability, netting both goals for his team.
Chernomorets finished the championship in fourth place in the Northeast Third League, and the current coach Ivaylo Stanchev is already planning an ambitious move to the Second League in the next season.
