Bulgarian shooters with a European record and prestigious ranking in France

Young Bulgarian talents Magdalina Staménova and Viktor Bonev achieved a remarkable result at the European Shooting Championship in Châteauroux.

The National Shooting Team recorded an impressive performance at the European Championship, which was held in the French city of Châteauroux. In the 25-meter mixed pistol discipline for juniors and girls, the Bulgarian athletes demonstrated exceptional professionalism.

Magdalina Stamenova and Viktor Bonev stood out with their exceptional achievement, winning the qualification with a total score of 578 points. Their result not only secured them a place in the final phase but was also registered as a new European record in the discipline.

The second Bulgarian pair - Maria Atanasova and Kaloyan Petkov, also achieved a remarkable result of 572 points, which guaranteed their participation among the top eight teams. In the final phase, Stamenova and Bonev took seventh place, while Atanasova and Petkov were ranked eighth.

With the completion of this discipline, the European Championship concluded. The Bulgarian National Team is preparing to return, with a journey from Châteauroux to Paris tomorrow morning, and subsequently a flight to Sofia. Their arrival in their homeland is expected to be around 2:00 PM at Terminal 2.
