Petar Mitsin takes a decisive step to optimize his sports performance by planning to reduce the number of competitive disciplines in upcoming international championships. After his participation in the World Championship in Singapore, the talented Bulgarian swimmer analyzed his results with a professional approach.

At the World Championship, Mitsin demonstrated remarkable skills in the 400 meters freestyle, where he managed to reach the final round and finish in a prestigious seventh place. Despite this success, weaker results were recorded in the other two disciplines - 200 meters freestyle and 200 meters butterfly, where he was eliminated in the preliminary heats.

In an exclusive interview with journalists at Vasil Levski Airport in Sofia, the athlete shared his personal assessment: "My performance in 400 meters was good, but in the other disciplines I encountered significant challenges. The physical load was extremely intense, as I had to participate on three consecutive days."

His coach Nikolay Vakareev revealed additional details about future sports plans. According to expert assessment, Mitsin will focus on the 400 and 800 meters freestyle disciplines during the upcoming European Championship in Poland in December. Vakareev emphasized that a careful analysis of achievements will be made, especially considering that the 800 meters final did not fully meet expectations.

Parallel to Mitsin's performance, another Bulgarian swimmer - Teia Nikolova, also attracted attention with her achievement. She recorded the second-best result among Bulgarian competitors, managing to qualify for the semi-final and set a new national record in the 50 meters breaststroke discipline.

Nikolova shared her emotional reaction: "My performance exceeded all my initial expectations. My main goal was to gain international experience and enjoy the overall sports experience."
