The World Culinary Bread Production Championship witnessed a remarkable success for Bulgaria when talented baker Georgi Petrov won key recognition at the international forum in Paris.

On July 31, 2025, the jury of the World Innovative Bread Products Competition honored Petrov for his exceptional achievement – a bread created with a revolutionary recipe, combining bio flour and authentic Bulgarian herbs.

The prestigious competition attracted over thousands of professionals from more than 40 countries, with Bulgaria represented by two exceptional experts in the field of baking.

The award not only highlights Petrov's individual mastery but also demonstrates the potential of Bulgarian culinary tradition to present itself innovatively and competitively on the international stage.

In an interview after the ceremony, the winner shared his ambitions to develop a local business and promote the concept of healthy and authentic bread production to a wider audience.
