The Bulgarian humanitarian organization Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) introduced an innovative national communication center for citizen consultations. Specially trained experts will serve users with professional guidance on a wide range of social issues.

The newly formed information point will assist people in need by providing specialized information about social services, health rights, and support opportunities. Experts will provide consultations regarding social support programs, healthy lifestyle, and balanced nutrition.

An additional function of the center is verification of eligible citizens through checking an electronic identification number in the national information system of the "Food and Basic Material Assistance" Program 2021–2027, financed by the European Social Fund Plus.

To contact the call center, citizens can use the phone number 02 4928549. In parallel, the Sofia branch of BRC reported an impressive 117,745 hours of volunteer work for the period between 2021-2024.
