Bulgaria has joined the Eurozone, which is expected to lead to economic benefits such as more investment, growth, and jobs. European Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis congratulated Bulgaria on this historic moment.

The transition from the lev to the euro is key for Bulgaria. European Commissioner for Economy Valdis Dombrovskis emphasizes that this places the country at the heart of Europe. As of today, Bulgaria is the 21st member of the Eurozone.

Dombrovskis notes Bulgaria's exceptional efforts in preparation and points out that the change will be beneficial. The country's resilience is improved, the financial system is stronger. Simplified payments, easier travel, and lower interest rates are ahead.

The euro is expected to stimulate investments, growth, and job creation. Dombrovskis emphasizes that this is a historic moment for Bulgaria, the Eurozone, and the EU, sending a signal of unity. Joining the Eurozone marks 19 years since Bulgaria joined the EU. On this occasion, a 3D mapping of the facade of the Bulgarian National Bank was realized.
