Bulgaria: A Strategic Partner in European Raw Material Independence

Bulgaria is successfully preserving its strategic advantage in sustainable metal extraction through modern and innovative methods. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Energy Lyubomira Gancheva during a key conference dedicated to the role of metals in the EU's industrial leadership.

The forum, organized by the Bulgarian Association of Metallurgical Industry (BAMI), emphasized the importance of the sector in the context of global geopolitical uncertainty.

According to Gancheva, the topic is extremely relevant, as Europe is rethinking its growth model. The recent confidence that clean technologies alone are sufficient for economic prosperity is giving way to new realities:

The Deputy Minister concluded that the transition to green energy poses serious challenges to the system, but Bulgaria remains a key factor that can ensure the necessary stability for the industrial growth of the entire European Union.
