Bulgaria strengthens its position as a top destination for German tourists
For the third consecutive year, representatives of the tourism industry from Bulgaria and Germany gathered at a large-scale forum in Sveti Vlas. The "Experience Bulgaria 2026" conference serves as a key platform for partnership and strategic planning.
"Germany remains the largest and one of the most important markets for Bulgarian tourism," stated Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov during the opening.
Beyond the sea: Year-round tourism and culture
Minister Dimitrov emphasized that Bulgaria offers an excellent price-to-quality ratio. The main development highlights include:
- Development of mountain and eco-tourism throughout the four seasons.
- Promotion of the country's rich history and cultural heritage.
- Focus on international events to increase brand recognition.
"Eurovision 2027" as a driver for tourism
Special attention was paid to the hosting of "Eurovision" in 2027. The event is expected to attract over 1,000 journalists and generate nearly 400,000 publications, which will provide a huge boost to the Bulgarian brand in Europe.
The Erlebe Bulgarien forum brought together managers of leading tour operators and airlines from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with the goal of promoting Bulgaria as an attractive year-round destination.
