Within the framework of an official diplomatic visit, the Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Industry Petar Dilov met with H.E. Dr. Said Mohammed Al Sakri - his colleague from the Sultanate of Oman, for extensive negotiations on interstate economic relations.

The two state representatives focused their attention on strategic directions for future cooperation, including high-tech industries, information communications, artificial intelligence, and digital innovations.

"Our goal is to fully utilize the existing economic potential," emphasized Minister Dilov, highlighting Bulgaria's consistent interest in expanding partnership with a key regional player like Oman.

Experts identified specific opportunities for joint projects, especially in the areas of information technology, digitalization, and the development of modern data centers. Bulgaria was presented as a promising regional center for innovative solutions.

Among the main agreements was increasing bilateral trade, which currently remains below the real economic potential of the two countries. Minister Dilov extended an official invitation to Omani companies to invest in Bulgarian industrial zones.

Additional emphasis was placed on creating joint manufacturing companies that would provide strategic access to markets in the Middle East and North Africa.

Active exchange of business delegations was identified as a key mechanism for implementing these ambitious plans. Deputy Minister Doncho Barbalov also participated in the diplomatic meeting.
