Bulgaria and Greece hold a leading position in ensuring the security of NATO's eastern flank. Constructive cooperation in the field of defense is key to stability in the region, said caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov during his meeting with the Minister of National Defense of Greece Nikos Dendias.
Gyurov expressed gratitude for Dendias' contribution to the Multinational Battle Group on Bulgarian territory, part of NATO's Forward Land Forces. The two also discussed the potential for common priorities to strengthen the strategic positions of the two countries.
The Minister of National Defense of Greece is on a visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of the caretaker Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov. Last week, Greece assured Bulgaria that it would provide assistance for the anti-missile defense of our country with air defense assets and military personnel.
