The chairman of DSB, Atanas Atanasov, expressed his opinion on the upcoming parliamentary elections on BNT. According to him, the only possible candidate for caretaker prime minister who can ensure fair and transparent elections is Andrey Gyurov.
Atanasov commented on speculations about the possible participation of President Rumen Radev in the elections, emphasizing the need for clarity regarding his future actions. He warned that if Radev participates in the elections, this could split the anti-corruption consensus along pro-Russian lines.
Atanasov emphasized his party's commitment against Russia's aggression in Ukraine and its aggressive policy. He expressed hope for the creation of a government that will deal with corruption, considered a major problem by society.
Atanasov proposed that a new prime minister remove the chairman of DANS, highlighting the important role of the agency in ensuring the elections. He also called for the appointment of a courageous Minister of Interior and the replacement of the regional directors of the Ministry of Interior appointed by Kalin Stoyanov.
Atanasov also touched on the issue of corruption schemes in energy, agriculture, and municipal support programs, pointing out the need to cut them off. He commented on the proposal to close the Anti-Corruption Commission, emphasizing that his motives are different from those of GERB.
