Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov published information on his Facebook profile to help Bulgarians in the Middle East region.

“I know that many Bulgarians in the Middle East region are currently in the epicenter of the attacks and are experiencing extremely tense hours. Therefore, I share this information. If you or a loved one need assistance, you can contact the Situation Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria at any time. The phones work around the clock: +359 2 948 24 04; +359 2 971 38 56; +359 893 339 616; email: crisis@mfa.bg; Fax: +359 2 870 71 37,” wrote Gurov.

The caretaker prime minister points out that our compatriots can also seek assistance directly from the nearest Bulgarian diplomatic mission. It is also important to know something else – if there is no Bulgarian consul in the country you are in, you have the right to seek help from the consular services of another EU country. This is your right as European citizens, Gurov reminds.

“One more important thing: If you are in the region, consider registering in the "I'm traveling to" section of the MFA website: https://www.mfa.bg/bg/embassyinfo. It takes a few minutes, but it can be of great benefit if you need to contact you. Please share this information to reach more people. Protect yourself and your loved ones. You are not alone,” Andrey Gurov also wrote.
