The conflict in the Baba Alino area
The Administrative Court in Varna has taken steps regarding the contested orders for the removal of construction works in the Baba Alino area. A total of 12 cases were initiated following appeals filed by "Forest Club Varna" OOD and "Venedikt 02" EOOD.
The subject of the dispute are the orders of Mayor Blagomir Kotsev from June 2024, mandating the demolition of 12 multi-family residential buildings containing over 40 apartments.
Investor demands
The appellants are insisting on the cancellation of the mayoral orders, describing them as unlawful. At present, the court has left the appeals pending while providing instructions for the rectification of irregularities before considering them on their merits.
