90 Fires in Bulgaria in 24 Hours

The General Directorate"Fire Safety and Population Protection" reported 90 extinguished fires in the country over the past 24 hours. One person was injured, and 14 fires caused material damage. The need for increased vigilance and fire safety measures was emphasized.

The General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" reported extinguishing 90 fires across the country in the last 24 hours. The information was published on the directorate"s official website. Fire crews responded to a total of 128 incident reports of various nature.

One person was injured in the fires over the past 24 hours. Yesterday, around 11:00 a.m., a fire was reported in an abandoned building in a residential complex in the capital. The victim of the incident was a 59-year-old homeless man who suffered smoke inhalation and minor burns. The man was examined on site by an Emergency Medical team and transported to "N. I. Pirogov" University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine. The cause of the fire was determined " careless handling of open fire. The tragic incident highlights the problems faced by homeless people and the need for more effective measures to prevent such incidents.

Another fire was registered in Sofia " a burning old landfill in the area of the "Mladost" and "Gorublyane_q_ neighborhoods. The resulting fire whirl was noticed by many residents of the area, and the thick smoke hung over the neighborhoods, creating an atmosphere of anxiety.

Of the total number of fires, 14 caused direct material damage. Six of them broke out in residential buildings, highlighting the need for greater vigilance and compliance with fire safety measures in homes. The remaining 76 fires were extinguished without any material damage.

In parallel with extinguishing fires, firefighters carried out 32 rescue and assistance operations. Five of them were related to accidents, highlighting the multifaceted activities of the teams and their important role in ensuring the safety of the population.
