On April 7th, 80 years will have passed since the founding of the Burgas Art Gallery “Petko Zadgorski”. The cultural institution was established in the distant year of 1946 and possesses a rich collection of over 2800 works - icons, paintings, sculptures, and graphics.
The gallery's anniversary will be celebrated on April 7th (Tuesday), starting at 5:30 PM with a multi-screen presentation “Construction in Progress”, prepared specifically for the anniversary.
Petko Manchev is the author of the multi-screen presentation, created with materials provided by the BHA (Burgas Art Gallery) team. He is a creative personality who works in the field of multimedia, combining music, visual art, directing, and publishing.
Guests will be shown emblematic works from the gallery's collections and archival materials, tracing the institution's development over the years. The texts for the presentation were prepared by art historian Elisaveta Stancheva. Partners of the BHA are Dragomir Winery.
The event is part of Burgas's candidacy for “European Capital of Culture” in 2032.
