An incredible adventure in the heart of the medical center

Nearly 600 children and students aged 8 to 18 visited the new medical facility – the Burgas Children's Hospital "St. Anastasia". The open house day, which took place on April 20, turned into a large-scale event involving students from 13 different schools in the city.

Due to the enormous interest, which exceeded expectations, the hospital also announced additional visits until the end of the week to allow all young guests to explore the modern infrastructure.

Technologies that look like they are from the future

Students from leading Burgas schools – including the Mathematics Gymnasium, the German, English, and Russian Language Gymnasiums – had the unique opportunity to see medicine in action. During the tour, the following were demonstrated:

"Children, the hospital is like an organism, in which besides doctors and nurses, there are also many other people without whom its existence would be impossible. These are software engineers, pharmacists, and the people who maintain the equipment. Together we make it possible to treat you, our little patients," said Dr. Toma Tomov.

Entertainment and emotions

In addition to the educational part, the day was filled with emotions. The younger children enjoyed the slide leading to the registration desk, and the biggest sensation on social media became the photo in front of the small giraffe in the foyer. Many visitors even brought handmade pictures and colorful collages as gifts for the hospital staff.
