Burgas will host 300 participants from 20 folklore groups representing 10 countries for the second edition of the "Burgas Brings Us Together" festival. Throughout the three days of the event – from September 18 to 20 – Bulgarian traditions, kept alive by our compatriots abroad, will be showcased through the artistry of musicians, singers, and dancers.
Nine folklore ensembles from Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Cyprus, and Italy will perform as part of the international group "Bulgarian Rose Around the World" in a joint production. The program also features the specially formed ensemble "Lele Male," which brings together dancers and choir members. They will be accompanied by artists arriving from 18 cities across Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, France, Norway, Moldova, Switzerland, and Cyprus.
The official opening of the festival will take place tomorrow, September 18, at 19:30 at the Summer Theatre, which will also host the first concert evening. The following day, September 19, at 17:30, St. Cyril and Methodius Square will serve as the stage for a massive folk dance (horo) involving all 300 participants.
The concluding event will be held on September 20. Before the grand finale – a gala concert, awards ceremony, and official closing at 19:30 at the Summer Theatre – a colorful parade will take place at 17:30. Participants will march along a route from the square in front of the Burgas Municipality to the Sea Garden.
The event is organized by the Association of Bulgarian Folklore Groups Abroad and "Postbox for Tales." The project is implemented with the assistance of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad and the Burgas Municipality.
