For the past day, 28 drivers were found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol – 15 of them had been driving after consuming alcohol between 0.5 and 1.2 per mille, while 13 were driving with over 1.2 per mille, and four refused to be tested. 11 drivers were caught driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, and three refused to be tested, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) announced.
Over 15,000 motor vehicles were checked, 16,770 drivers and passengers were controlled, 3470 tickets and 431 acts were issued for established administrative violations.
One person died and 17 were injured in road accidents during the past 24 hours in Bulgaria, the MIA announced earlier.
