Twenty Bulgarian producers and processors of organic products are representing Bulgaria at one of the most prestigious international exhibitions for organic food in the world – “BIOFACH” in Nuremberg, Germany. This was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF), which is organizing a national stand with the brand Bulgaria, with which our country is participating in the world forum.

The organic products that the producers are presenting are wine, fruits, juices, jams, dairy products, flour, vegetable and essential oils, and products made from them.

The exhibition is entirely business-oriented and is intended exclusively for trade representatives, which gives great opportunities for the exhibitors in it for intensive direct meetings with interested parties with the potential to discover new product niches, consolidate achieved positions and expand new markets.

Nearly 2,200 exhibitors from over 90 countries are presented at the exhibition area of “BIOFACH”, and it is expected that over 35,000 trade representatives and experts will visit it during the four exhibition days.

“Participation with a national stand is highly valued by the Bulgarian organic producers who are represented here. According to them, the exhibition contributes to the good positioning of Bulgarian organic products on the demanding European market. For the team of the MAF, it is important that we assist the representatives of the industry in accessing more trading locations for Bulgarian organic products and to support the unfolding of the potential of domestic organic production,” Dr. Lora Djuparova, Director of the “Organic Production” Directorate at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, emphasized.

Bulgaria presented the progress and prospects in the development of organic production with a presentation on the opening day of the exhibition at the Congress Center. The presentation emphasized that the strategic goal of our country is the establishment of organic farming as a sustainable and competitive model, fully in line with both the goals of the European Union and the high requirements and expectations of the European and national markets.

“BIOFACH 2026” is held from February 10 to 13, BTA recalls.
