150 Years Since the April Uprising: Pomorie Marks the Anniversary with a Celebration on April 20th

On April 20th, Pomorie will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the April Uprising with a celebration at "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" square. The organizers are SU "Ivan Vazov" and Community Center "Prosveta 1888". The square will be temporarily closed.

The April Uprising broke out on April 20, 1876. Its task was to win independence for Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire.

It is approaching 150 years since this significant date in our history, and on this occasion, on April 20 /Monday/ from 10:00 a.m. at St. St. Cyril and Methodius Square, Pomorie will celebrate the memorable anniversary with the participation of local talents.

The program is organized by Ivan Vazov Secondary School and Prosveta 1888 Community Center.

In connection with the celebration, St. St. Cyril and Methodius Square will be temporarily closed on April 20 from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and parked vehicles will be towed. We ask drivers not to park.
