Starting tomorrow, February 26th, the pre-sale of the new travel packages for students and doctoral students in regular education in the schools and universities of Burgas begins.
The measure to travel unlimited monthly for 1 euro was introduced on the initiative of Mayor Dimitar Nikolov and unanimously supported by the municipal council.
Its goal is to encourage young people to be more active in the educational and social life of the city and to facilitate their free participation in various social, sporting and cultural events.
“We continue to invest purposefully in young people as a key factor for the long-term social, economic and demographic development of Burgas. Our city is establishing itself as an attractive center for young families, which motivates us to build new schools, dormitories, sports infrastructure and a modern urban environment.
All students and doctoral students in regular education who study in educational institutions on the territory of Burgas Municipality and have a permanent or current address in the municipality are entitled to a subscription.
Students who use the service "Call and Ride" can also travel with monthly tickets for 1 euro.
The new packages come into effect from 01.03.2026, and their pre-sale will be possible from tomorrow at any of the points of sale of cards and tickets – Transport House, South Bus Station, West Bus Station and Meden Rudnik Terminal.
Subscriptions will be loaded into the existing physical samples, and those entitled who have not yet withdrawn cards must visit the Transport House, where a personalized card will be issued to them.
The requirements for the documents that are submitted when issuing and loading remain unchanged – ID card, certificate from the school, student record book and document for current address, in case it differs from the permanent one on the ID card.
As before, it is allowed to purchase subscriptions for the next two, three to six consecutive months, which saves time and facilitates students and their parents.
The pre-sale can cover no later than September, when the new school year begins and it is necessary to provide new documents.
