The Minister of Health, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvi Kirillov, convened an emergency meeting with the director of the Emergency Medical Service Center in the capital, Dr. Georgi Gelev, and the director of the UHATEM "N. I. Pirogov", Dr. Valentin Dimitrov. The reason for the meeting was a publicly announced case of failure to provide emergency medical assistance to a child in Sofia.
During the meeting, Minister Kirillov requested detailed information on all the circumstances surrounding the incident and carefully listened to the explanations of the two directors. He then ordered the Executive Agency "Medical Supervision" (IAMN) to conduct an immediate and thorough inspection of the case and to submit a report with the findings within the statutory deadlines.
The Minister of Health took these actions to clarify all the facts around the incident and to ensure that such cases of failure to provide emergency medical assistance will not be repeated in the future. He emphasized the importance of timely and adequate response in emergency situations, especially when it comes to the lives of children.

Minister Kirillov stated that he will closely monitor the progress of the inspection and will take all necessary measures to establish the causes of the incident and to hold those responsible accountable if any violations or unprofessional actions are found.
