Keith Kellogg, President Donald Trump's special representative, revealed in an interview with ABC that on June 2 in Istanbul, separate meetings will be held between representatives of Ukraine and Russia, as well as national security advisers from the US, Germany, France and the United Kingdom. According to Kellogg, Washington has already received a memorandum from Kyiv regarding a ceasefire, while Moscow has not yet provided a similar document. He pointed out that there are points that are up for discussion and those that are not, and advised Ukraine not to refuse to participate in the negotiations if it wants to show seriousness. Kellogg stated that the US is not currently considering the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO and defined the eastward expansion of the Alliance as a "understandable concern" for Russia. Meanwhile, Reuters reports that the conditions the Kremlin sets for a possible end to the war include: formal written guarantees from Western leaders to stop NATO expansion, the lifting of some sanctions, the exclusion of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova from Alliance membership, and the recognition of Kyiv's "neutral status".
