The Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) has launched an inspection of the ground operators working at "Vasil Levski" Airport in Sofia. The inspection has been assigned by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, Grozdan Karadjov, and will cover the companies "Goldair Handling Bulgaria" OOD, "Swissport Bulgaria" AD, and "SOF Connect" AD.
The reason for the extraordinary inspection are the increasing signals about poor conditions and unsatisfactory service to passengers at the largest Bulgarian airport. The inspection will assess the quality of the services provided, the availability of sufficient personnel and adequate equipment, to ensure comfort and speed in servicing passengers and their luggage, before the start of the active summer season.
