The Ministry of e-Government facilitates the access of foreign workers to the Bulgarian labor market.

During the National Discussion "Access to the Labor Market for Third Country Workers", the Minister of e-Government, Valentin Mundrov, stated that the new Platform for Production and Issuance of Residence and Work Permits will facilitate and accelerate the hiring of foreign workers in Bulgaria. The system will digitize the existing procedures, with all documents passing through it alone.

Mundrov emphasized that the Employment Agency is already using the platform, which proves that it is functioning successfully. The Minister expressed hope that the legislative changes undertaken will allow the Ministry of e-Government to unite the efforts of different institutions to eliminate paper-based document flow and provide secure and accessible electronic services.

According to Mundrov, the new system will make the processes of issuing residence and work permits for foreign citizens in Bulgaria faster, more transparent, and traceable. This will facilitate the access of foreign workers to the Bulgarian labor market.
