The end of an era is approaching for Honda Civic Type R fans in Europe. The Japanese manufacturer has announced that it will stop selling its most powerful hatchback on the Old Continent next year, with the reason being "European legislation" and stricter emission restrictions that the 324-horsepower model cannot meet.
To mark the withdrawal of the Civic Type R from the European market, Honda will release a limited series of 40 units of the special Ultimate Edition. This version is distinguished by exclusive decorative elements, including a red stripe in the middle of the engine cover, combined with red decorative stripes along the sides of the car, gradually transitioning into perforated lines. The contrast is complemented by the black roof, while the only available color scheme is the traditional Championship White.
The interior of the Ultimate Edition also receives special accents, such as carbon fiber decorative elements on the console and door sills, as well as additional lighting. Each of the 40 vehicles will be equipped with a gift box containing an individually numbered emblem.
Honda has not announced the price of the Civic Type R Ultimate Edition, but given the limited production, the collector's models will be offered with a sensitive markup. In addition to the car, customers will receive a specially made car cover, floor mats, and a carbon fiber key fob.
