In connection with the growing tension in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria calls on Bulgarian citizens in the region to strictly follow the security instructions of the local authorities and regularly inform themselves about the development of the situation. Our compatriots are called upon to avoid places with a large concentration of people where mass events are taking place.

The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs urgently calls on all Bulgarian citizens in Iraq, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to contact the diplomatic representations of Bulgaria in the respective countries and report their location and the planned duration of their stay. The contact details of the Bulgarian embassies and consulates in the region are provided so that our compatriots can seek assistance if necessary.

Bulgarian citizens in Iraq can contact the Embassy of Bulgaria in Baghdad at the specified phone numbers and email address. Those in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain can contact the Embassy in Riyadh, and those in the UAE can contact the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai.

Signals and requests for assistance in crisis situations of Bulgarian citizens are accepted around the clock on the phones and email of the Situation Center Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is recommended that all Bulgarian citizens traveling, temporarily or permanently residing abroad, register in the "I'm traveling to..." section on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This will allow for timely information and assistance if necessary.
