Review by the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection"

Over the past 24 hours, fire departments across the country have responded to an intensive series of incidents. A total of 44 fires have been completely extinguished, and unfortunately, three citizens have been injured as a result of the incidents.

Statistics show 22 fires with direct material damage, with the focus of the incidents falling on residential buildings.

Distribution of fires:

  • 10 fires in residential buildings;
  • 2 fires in auxiliary or makeshift structures;
  • 5 fires in vehicles;
  • 1 fire in outdoor facilities;
  • 4 fires in other objects.

Rescue activities and assistance operations

In addition to firefighting, the teams have responded to a total of 112 reports of incidents. 63 rescue operations were conducted, including:

  • 4 in road accidents;
  • 2 in incidents involving hazardous substances;
  • 2 in household or industrial accidents;
  • 56 cases of providing technical assistance.

The fire department also reports five cases of false calls, which unnecessarily engaged the teams' resources.
