A sixth-grader from Burgas won second place in the “Multimedia Presentation” category in the “Amazing Universe” competition, organized by the Astronomical Observatory and Planetarium – Yambol. Over a hundred students from all over the country participated.

The distinguished student is Angel Hristov, a student of the Center for Personal Development Support – Burgas, who is trained in one of the schools for computer modeling and information technologies “Programming with Imagination – Scratch for Little Explorers”, with teacher Eng. Milena Edreva-Ivanova.

Angel Hristov presented a multimedia presentation developed on the theme “A Day as an Astronaut – a Journey into the Daily Life of Space Heroes”, in which he reveals the challenges and responsibilities in the daily life of astronauts in an interesting and accessible way.

Students from all over the country participate in the competition of the Astronomical Observatory, and in the “Multimedia Presentation” category (grades V–VII), the projects are evaluated according to criteria such as originality, scientific accuracy and technical performance.

The achievement is the first distinction for the newly formed schools for computer modeling and information technologies at the Center for Personal Development Support – Burgas, which started at the beginning of the school year in the fully renovated computer lab of the center. 

Training in them covers four groups of students from grades III to VI and is aimed at developing logical thinking, creativity and digital literacy through fun visual programming.
