Burgas is getting ready to welcome the best disc golf players from the country and the region. The seaside city will host the prestigious Bulgarian Open 2025 tournament, which promises to bring together enthusiasts and professionals for two days of intense competition and excitement. The event, organized by the Bulgarian Disc Golf Association, will take place on September 6 and 7 in the picturesque Ezero Park.
The discipline, which combines the precision of traditional golf with the flight of a frisbee, is gaining increasing popularity in Bulgaria. Therefore, expectations for this year's edition of the tournament are high. The competition course, known as Ezero DiscGolfPark, is located in the heart of Burgas_q_s Sea Garden, right behind the Health Insurance Fund building, which makes it easily accessible to both participants and the public.
According to the preliminary program, the competition days will be packed with events.
The start of the competition
On Saturday, September 6, the program starts early. Between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m., participants will gather for final preparations, and then they will go through registration and receive their starting numbers and cards. A short briefing will present the rules and instructions for the tournament.
The official opening is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. The first round, which includes all participants, will start at 10:15 a.m. Groups will move around the course at 10-minute intervals, with the first team starting exactly at 10:15 a.m.
After the lunch break, which will last from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., the competition will resume with the second round. It will start at 2:00 p.m., with groups starting every 15 minutes. The first day of the competition will end around 4:30 p.m. with a summary of the results.
The grand final
Sunday, September 7, will be the day of the finals. Participants will gather again at 9:00 a.m. for preparations. The third, final round will start at 9:30 a.m., with groups starting every 10 minutes.
In the afternoon, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., the final games will be held, which will determine the winners. The emotions on the course will undoubtedly be heated as the competitors fight for the top positions.

The solemn awards ceremony and the official closing of the Bulgarian Open 2025 are planned for 4:00 p.m. Winners will be awarded cups, medals, and material prizes. The organizers have also planned additional social activities and photo opportunities after the end of the competition.
