Athletic race Pomorie Run 2025 gathers athletes on the coast

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the picturesque seaside town of Pomorie will once again become the stage for one of the country's most attractive sports events. The Bulgarian Athletics Federation, in partnership with the _Run Bulgaria_ movement and the Municipality of Pomorie, are preparing the annual athletics race _Pomorie Run – 2025_. The event, which starts at exactly 10:00 a.m., promises to attract both professional athletes and enthusiasts from all over the country. The organizers emphasize the idea of promoting an active lifestyle and the natural beauty of Bulgaria, inviting all who wish to participate in the initiative.

Unique Route and Challenges

The unique 10.25 km route is designed to challenge even the most experienced athletes. Participants will have to tackle the uneven terrain, with half of the distance – 5 km – being on the sand of the beach strip. The other 5 km will be along the dirt road of the dike that separates Pomorie Lake from the Black Sea. This contrast between the soft sand and the hard road offers not only a physical challenge but also an opportunity to contemplate the unique landscape of the region.

The exciting atmosphere of the start will take over the _Kosata_ area near the _Municipality of Pomorie_ bungalows, located next to Pomorie Lake, where both the start and the finish of the race are planned.

In addition to the main mass start for adults, the organizers have also planned a special race for the youngest participants. Children will compete on a shorter distance of 2025 meters, symbolically linked to the year the event is held. This decision emphasizes the organizers' commitment to young athletes and their desire to encourage them from an early age.

The race is part of a broader campaign, _Let's Get Pomorie Moving_, whose main goal is to motivate residents and guests of the town to be more physically active. Against the backdrop of golden autumn sand and azure waters, the event aims to show Pomorie not only as a seaside resort but also as an important sports center. The organizers extend an invitation to families to join in, emphasizing the importance of sports for children.
