Despite the 4:0 loss to "Celtic" in another pre-season match, the "Newcastle" management remains optimistic about the future of key players. Manager Eddie Howe categorically stated that the 25-year-old Alexander Isak will be part of the team at the start of the championship.

During a press conference after the match, Howe emphasized: "I can never be 100% certain about transfers, but Isak is happy here. He loves the team, his teammates, and the staff". The manager added that he currently expects the Swede to travel with the team.

The match against the Scottish champions developed extremely unfavorably for "Newcastle". Already in the 28th minute, Arne Engels converted a penalty after Joe Willock violated the rules in the penalty area. Goalkeeper Nick Pope made a gross mistake just before halftime, which allowed Johnny Kenny to score the second goal.

The new signing Anthony Elanga, transferred from "Nottingham Forest" for 55 million pounds, made his debut in the second half but failed to have a significant impact on the result. "Celtic" continued to dominate, with Yan Hyun-Jun from South Korea increasing the lead.

In the 75th minute, Liam Scales confirmed the crushing victory with a spectacular header. Despite "Newcastle" having more ball possession in the second half, the team failed to get back into the match.

The next friendly match of the "Magpies" is against "Arsenal" on July 27 in Singapore. Despite the poor performance, the management remains optimistic about the squad and the upcoming season.

Howe reinforced his confidence that Isak will remain part of the team, emphasizing: "He is part of our team and I currently expect him to travel with us".
