In the Sozopol village of Zidarovo, the assessment of the damage begins following the heavy rainfall that caused serious damage to the Southern Black Sea coast.
The Fakijska River overflowed in the area, flooding houses, yards, and part of the infrastructure.
In just hours, 85 liters of rain per square meter fell over the village.
Evacuation of people living in the lowest parts of the village was necessary.
Today, heavy machinery is expected to be involved in the cleanup to remove the mud and sediment brought by the floodwaters.
A partial state of disaster remains in effect in the Municipality of Sozopol.
