During the height of the summer heat, the capital's zoo turns into a true laboratory for observing animal cooling techniques. While people rely on air conditioners and fans, representatives of different species have impressive natural thermoregulation strategies.

Black panthers Lume and Limbani show a remarkable approach to the heat. Their personal pool becomes a refuge where they not only cool down but also play with a ball. According to employee Irina Sahatcheva, these predators instinctively seek the thickest shade and demonstrate exceptional adaptability.

Another interesting example is the bear Roni, who receives a specially prepared ice cream with apples, melon, cucumber, watermelon, and ice. This non-standard method not only cools her down but also ensures additional attention from the staff.

Hippopotamus Norman is a true attraction among the zoo inhabitants. Known for his love of water and apples, he can consume between 50 and 100 kilograms of fruits without any difficulty. His caretaker Ivan Ivanov emphasizes that despite his reputation as a dangerous animal, Norman is extremely friendly.

The young hippos demonstrate different behavior. According to Dr. Martin Yosifov, they are more vulnerable to sunlight and prefer to remain hidden in the bushes during the heat, showing activity mainly at night.

Rhinoceros Chiko uses a special shower to cool down, while elephants Luisa and Frosya prefer dust baths. Petar Kadinov explains that this practice not only cools them down but also creates a protective layer on the skin, acting as an insulator and barrier against pathogenic organisms.

Every inhabitant of the zoo has their own strategy for dealing with the heat - pools, shade, special foods, and games. These methods demonstrate the exceptional adaptability of the animal world to extreme climate conditions.

The report reveals not just how animals cope with the heat, but presents a fascinating world of natural solutions that far exceed human technological approaches.
