Today and until October 3rd, traffic on the "Trakia" motorway will be disrupted in two sections in the Stara Zagora region, announced the press center of the "Road Infrastructure Agency" (API). The decision, announced today, provides for changes in traffic organization that will affect both those traveling towards Sofia and those towards Burgas.

From today until October 3rd, in two sections of the motorway, approximately at the 207th and 218th kilometer, with a length of about 90 meters, traffic will be carried out in the active lanes. This means that overtaking in the overtaking lanes will be restricted. The changes will be in effect today and on October 2nd from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, as well as on October 3rd from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

According to information from API, the change in traffic organization is necessary for the construction of the so-called "window" in the middle dividing strip of the motorway. This "window" will allow passage from one lane to another, in connection with upcoming repair work on the asphalt surface.

Today, repair work will continue in the Yambol region, between the 285th and 289th kilometer of the "Trakia" motorway. In the section, covering 4 kilometers, in the direction of Burgas, work will be carried out between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. During the execution of the repair work, traffic in the active and emergency lanes will be gradually restricted, and traffic will be directed to the overtaking lane.

API expressed regret for the inconvenience that these changes would cause to drivers. The agency emphasized that the repair work is necessary to ensure the safety of traffic on the facilities. API called on drivers to be careful, to observe traffic rules, speed limits, and to avoid risky overtaking.

We remind you that preventive repair work started on September 23rd in the lane for Burgas and in sections of the "Trakia" motorway in the territories of the Pazardzhik and Sliven regions.
