«The Taste of Bessarabia» Invites Guests to a Culinary-Wine Tour in Bolgrad on August 24
A Journey Through the Flavors and Culture of Southern Ukraine
On August 24 in the Bolgrad Municipality, the gastronomic tour «The Taste of Bessarabia» will be held, organized by the Tourist Information Center (TIC) in Bolgrad. The event will introduce participants to the rich culinary and cultural heritage of the region, where ethnic Bulgarians make up over 60% of the population.
What Does the Program Include?
- Visit to the Villa Tinta winery – learning about the winemaking process and tasting selected wines with appropriate appetizers.
- A walk through the city of Bolgrad and a visit to the largest freshwater liman lake in Ukraine – Yalpug.
- Tasting of traditional meat delicacies – sudjuk, karnak, sushnitsa – at the «Balkan Dishes» complex, combined with a glass of wine.
- Finale with a Bulgarian lunch: sarmi, banitsa, cheese with tomatoes, wine, and other traditional specialties.
